Thanks, Nessie, for posting this. It was kinda funky, though. Made me answer questions that didn’t apply to me. Par for the course with this entire adventure, I guess. Two. More. Weeks. Of. Reflux. And then we’re done.
Are we? I hate to have you suffer more reflux but, the point of the survey (from what JCICS says) is to gather data to help complete as many adoptions as possible. Personally, I’m ready to move on. If I delay any longer with this program (and it doesn’t work out, seems quite likely) I’ll be too old for many of the programs whose age limit is 45. I’m 42 1/2, most programs take around two years. This is more stressful than listening to my biological clock tic!
Well, “we” are
My agency sent a note to everyone to go to the site, too. Hopefully, this will help. Like I told you earlier: KOREA. No dossier needed. You’re homestudy ready. You just file and go. Within a few months, you’ll have your child. Quoting someone I know– Easy Peasy
Great News! I wish you all the best.
Not so easy peasy on my part though. My home study says I weigh 20 lbs. more than I am allowed to weigh for that program. I really am only 10 Lbs. over and that will be easy to loose, home-studies not so easy. I’m trying to see if we can do an update after I loose the weight rather than a complete new study. My gut says, since we will need to change agencies, they will want a new study done by their own office. I am also wondering if there will be period I will have to maintain my weight before I am considered stable. I do plan on maintaining the weight, but if I have to wait 6 months to prove I can do it, I will be too old. I still have a lot of research to do, and the agencies I have contacted have been slow to return calls and emails.
If anyone knows more about the health requirements I’d love to hear from you.
